Lactation Support and Services

This session is 1.5 hours in-person or 45 min via Zoom.

The first meeting is tailored to your unique lactation needs to improve your experience with chest/breastfeeding or expressing breastmilk. If applicable, I can conduct a pre/post weight check and infant assessment during this visit. I will leave you feeling more confident in meeting your feeding goals with a feeding action plan, answer your questions and provide necessary lactation guidance and support any lactation related issues or questions after your appointment through text/email.

This session is 1 hr in-person or 45 min via Zoom.

The follow-up appointment is for a subsequent visit to meet with me to review ongoing breastfeeding or lactation issues. I will continue to support your feeding goals and provide necessary assistance and education to support you and your child.

This session is up to 30 minutes over the phone.

 This phone session, up to 30 min, is for the purpose of speaking with Chelsea, a lactation consultant to gather reassurance and answers to your breastfeeding or lactation questions or concerns without having to book a visit. Payment is required via e-transfer.

This visit is 45 min before birth education, and covers:

What to expect with milk supply in the first few weeks
Learn about the benefits of early breastfeeding and breastmilk
How much to expect your baby to feed as well as diaper output (normal vs abnormal)
Teaching on skin-to-skin benefits
How to help your baby latch
Other ways to feed your baby breastmilk (cup feeding, finger feeding, bottle feeding)
Different positions to facilitate comfort while breastfeeding.
